A Sense Of Community

Communities are an incredibly important thing for artists. It's a community that is largely supportive and invested. There have been a few I'm a have had the pleasure to join. The leaders have facilitated a safe space for asking questions, seek mentorship, develop lasting friendships and have fun.

These communities have reached farther for both leaders and and participants. Information and guidance from people whose knowledge was almost unattainable is now accessable.

I think there are many benefits to art communities. Communities unite people of like mind. Facilitators often directly or indirectly become mentors. They provide a space too explore and advance your craft and can provide relevant and respected feedback/advice.

I think, often, the hardest part of communities is breaking into one, but once you do the ability to flourish there could be endless.

Just some food for thought this Friday night!
